Leslee Frederickson, RN, BCPA
Founder of Hospice & Homecare Advocacy
With over 15-years of experience as a Home Care and Hospice Nurse, Leslee has become a staunch patient advocate as she effectively assists patients and their families to navigate through the overwhelming maze called the ‘healthcare system’. In the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Leslee was a Hospice Case Manager and saw that patients were being separated from their families and loved ones. Simultaneously, they were losing their biggest healthcare advocates, their autonomy, and their ability to make informed consent decisions.​
Leslee also observed patients lose their human connection with the people they loved the most; and their overall psychosocial decline was dramatic. This was extremely difficult to witness and as a nurse, it changed Leslee to her core and caused her to pivot professionally. While pressing into her faith, she became a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) and launched Hospice & Homecare Advocacy (a division of RN Patient Advocate Services, LLC (RNPAS)). Leslee believes that informed consent is the only consent and she strives to empower every client/family with the education, knowledge, guidance, and support, to make the best informed consent decisions for themselves. Leslee is a natural helper to her core and she listened to her gut, partnered with the Holy Spirit, and built her advocacy business on the rock of God and Jesus.
